Navico, the world’s leading manufacturer of marine electronics for the leisure market, has appointed Carsten Kipping as chief financial officer (CFO).
Carsten joined Navico in March 2008 as interim CFO and brings more than ten years of corporate finance, accounting, general management and consulting experience to the role. As a member of Navico’s corporate executive committee, he will continue to drive the global finance function across the organisation, with the support of headquarters and regional finance teams.

Prior to joining Navico, Carsten ran his own consulting company focused on financial management roles and finance projects. He was chief financial officer and a member of the managing board for Leybold Optics, a portfolio company of the Swedish private equity firm EQT. He also spent six years with McKinsey & Company in Germany and Brazil as engagement manager and senior associate, with a primary focus on the high technology industry.
Carsten holds an MBA from the Koblenz School of Corporate Management (WHU) in Germany and has participated in exchange programmes at the Université Paris Dauphine and University of Michigan.
