Addition of B&G and Simrad leisure brands completes Navpoint portfolio
Navico, the world’s leading manufacturer of marine electronics for the recreational market, has appointed Swedish marine electronics specialist Navpoint AB to distribute its B&G and Simrad leisure ranges across the Swedish market from 1 October.
Having begun its relationship with Navico as distributor for the Lowrance and Eagle brands, Navpoint was subsequently appointed exclusive Swedish distributor for Northstar in April this year, and the addition of the B&G and Simrad leisure brands means that Navpoint is now the exclusive distributor in Sweden for the full Navico house of brands in the leisure and superyacht markets.
"We are delighted to have taken the association with our partners Navpoint to its logical conclusion," commented Navico CEO Jens-Thomas Pietralla. "They have shown themselves to be first-class ambassadors for the Eagle, Lowrance and Northstar brands, and the addition of the B&G and Simrad leisure product ranges to their portfolio will enable them to provide an unparalleled depth and quality of service to Navico customers across Sweden."
B&G is the world’s premier manufacturer of navigation and performance electronics for racing sail boats, as well as the foremost supplier of cutting-edge systems to sailing superyachts and blue-water cruisers around the world. Simrad leisure develops and manufactures integrated navigation systems, autopilots, VHF radios, performance instrumentation and safety electronics for the leisure and superyacht markets.
